therapist supervision
We act not as a boss, but as a consultant. We want you to grow into the best therapist you can be.
What is therapist supervision?
To use the services of another counselor or psychotherapist to review their work with clients, their professional development, and often their personal development as well.
Supervision is a professional service, rather than a managerial role. Think of us as your consultant. We also use group supervision, in addition to individual supervision, to confer on each other’s work.
Why therapist supervision?
Supervision protects clients by involving an impartial third party in the work of a counselor and client. This helps to reduce the risk of serious oversight. Additionally, the therapist under supervision is give the opportunity to reflect on their own feelings, thoughts, behavior and general approach with the client.
What we do together...
We’re going to talk about your clients. We’re going to talk about interventions, theories and skills. But most importantly, we’re going to talk about you. The good, the bad, the ugly and the wonderfully unique. Like with our counseling clients, we promise to bring our game. In return, we ask that you show up, trust the process, and work hard.
We’d love the opportunity to mentor you as you grow more fully and confidently into the role of therapist/counselor.
