Meet Jenna Olafson, MA, LMHC...

Philosophy & Therapeutic Approach

I enjoy collaborating with adolescents and adults ages 11 & up addressing such concerns as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, identity, educational and social issues, self-esteem, & family dynamics.  I also enjoy working with couples on parenting concerns or conflict, including parenting teens or challenging children, as well as couples who are stuck in undesired patterns of interaction and are looking to re-establish connection.  It is my belief that one of the most important aspects of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. In that, it is of the utmost importance that all clients feel seen in an unbiased, inclusive, creative and compassionate environment. I am sex positive, LGBTQ+ and trans-affirming. My goal is to work with each client to discover & form the therapeutic process that best fits their needs, ultimately guiding to achieve healing and finding one's strengths & authentic self.

I have experience working with young adults, including at-risk youth, and parents for over 15 years. Each individual’s story is sacred, and thus is treated with the utmost care. I value the integration of the whole experience and offer elements of yogic practices and mindfulness into sessions; I have completed an accredited 200 hour yoga teacher training program.
